I hit 10,000 HKs yesterday during a world pvp event! Sorry the SS barely shows it, my damn UI gives errors constantly and apparently the Achievement Shotter addon crapped out again.
So my conclusion is this: lower level BGs give the most HKs for your time. 30 minutes = at least 100 HKs. Max level BGs are around 30min/50HKs. World PvP and Tol Barad (bleh) is the best option for max level HKs. 30min/100HKs as long as you aren't dead all the time. If you are there is lots of walking to get back, etc.
Warsong Battalion is the guild I NEED to be in to get this achievement. There is almost always some wpvp going on, day or night doesn't matter. I have some issues with the way things are run but I'm going to work through them each time they come up instead of give up on it. I like a lot of the people in the guild, some of them just rage too much. But I could practically build a house in Ironforge and that makes it all worth it! My wife has server transferred her resto druid and already gotten promoted higher than me since she helped organize a raid in Tol Barad last night. I love playing with her, makes everything so much more fun. Also, pocket healer, hell yeah.
I've been capping my conquest points every week by barely stepping into an arena. We win most of them we do but I don't have to, I do so many BGs per week that I get the 50 per win very often. I don't want to be an elitist but that is retarded. For no reason should I be getting arena gear without doing arena! I know there is another tier of gear I'm not getting, and I'll get to it when I can. But it just seems wrong like this. TL;DR Get off my lawn.
Armok
In the old days, I remember getting 900 honor kills per alterac valley...but those matches could drag on over three hours. I remember sneaking behind the enemy lines as a stealthed druid and dropping hurricane on the horde force. Then using shadowmeld to drink and doing it again.
ReplyDeleteWhen people rage amount a video game, I kinda just tune them out. Guilds are important but your goal can easily be achieved by simply being persistent. Actually, I was thinking maybe your goal is what will keep you going after you've gotten your gear.
One of the nice things about the new arena design is that you can spend an hour or two doing them a week and easily cap your conquest. If you have a really dedicated partner, you can play more and try to build rating. The thing you have to realize is like league, they use an elo system. Basically, you'll be thrust against harder and harder foes until your win rate is about 50 50. Conquest in battle grounds is basically a way to lure people into actually doing them past the point when they don't need honor anymore. It encourages prolonged engagement and allows someone that loses an arena partner to stay caught up without finding a new one right away.
The real prize though, I think are rated battle grounds. I'd kill for some of the higher level titles, but I really can't find enough people that have the interest to do them.
Yes, my goal is definitely what will keep me going. That, and other little in game things like achievements, etc. I have always had a really hard time staying with one character but I feel very attached to this rogue already. It just feels right. I can pick my fights, escape when necessary, and do huge damage when needed. Paladins give me problems, they heal themselves a lot. Blood DKs are hard but manageable with lots of bleeds and keeping recuperate up when kiting.
ReplyDeleteOur guild has RBGs sometimes but I think we need someone to start organizing them more often. I would if I didn't work nights, I would really love the 75 RBG win wolf (http://www.wowhead.com/item=70910), that is an amazing mount!
Aw, I like playing wow with you too. <3
ReplyDeleteI enjoy being a pocket healer almost as much as I enjoy having a rogue committed to keeping alliance off my back every time I feel like popping tree form in the midst of wpvp chaos. I love my tree form, but it is definitely a hate-magnet.
